The music ministry of First Presbyterian Church encompasses choirs for all ages, handbells, a contemporary band, and a bluegrass band.
It also offers the Sanctuary Concert Series, which features several musicians and ensembles throughout the year.
Whether you're a musician yourself, a music connoisseur, or a casual listener, there's something for everyone!
If you have any questions about our music ministry, please contact Daniel Hamilton, Director of Music.
Sanctuary Concert Series
The First Presbyterian Church Sanctuary Concert Series presents unique concerts each year. These concerts feature a variety of stellar musicians and are free of charge thanks to our outstanding sponsors.
Our Sanctuary Choir meets on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM in the Choir Room. All high school youth and adults are invited to come and sing in the Sanctuary Choir. No music reading ability is necessary, just a joy of singing!
There are two opportunities to participate: Wednesdays at 5:15 PM or 7:00 PM. Join us in the Choir Loft for this musical opportunity. (Please enter using the front Sanctuary doors.)
Children aged 3rd to 5th grade are invited to sing in the Children's Choir! This choir sings periodically during worship. For more information about rehearsals, contact Daniel Hamilton, Director of Music.
Water to Wine Band
Adults and Youth are welcome! Our Water to Wine Band leads the music in select 8:45 AM and 11:00 AM Sunday worship services throughout the year. Rehearsals are 6:00 - 7:00 PM on Wednesdays in Room 30. Contact John Gordon, Director, for more information.
Lookout Mountain Band
The Lookout Mountain Band is open to anyone who can play a stringed instrument and/or enjoys singing Bluegrass and Gospel music. This group shares their music in worship and the community. Contact Debbie Grinton for more information.
