Dear Friends,

 

In my short time with you all, I have been continually amazed at the faithfulness and generosity of the members of First Presbyterian Church Aiken.  The energy and excitement for mission and ministry here is noticeable within our community and Presbytery. Great things are happening in our worship, fellowship, study, and service together. It is a joy and a privilege to be a part of this great work.  

 

As we plan for the new directions in which God is leading us, we are again asking that you consider the ways in which God has blessed you through our life together.  There are many opportunities to serve God and our neighbors at FPCA.  Your gifts and talents go a long way in helping us all grow in our faith as we build up God’s Kingdom here.

 

Your gifts help to nurture our children, as they learn the ancient traditions, creeds, and stories of our faith.  Your gifts help our youth, as they seek to apply fundamental Presbyterian beliefs and practices in their everyday lives as they learn new ways that God is calling them to serve.  Your gifts help equip our adults to navigate a complex and changing world.  Through our music, meals, and other times together, we are building up the Body of Christ in many ways.

 

The Session has worked to create a faithful budget that reflects our growth in ministry.  It will require us to step out in trust, knowing that it is God who is leading us in these directions.  However, we feel strongly that the budget reflects God’s will for us at this time and in this place.  We are asking that you prayerfully consider how you might be a part of this work here through your time, talent, and treasure. 

 

We will celebrate God’s faithfulness to us on Commitment Sunday February 5 .  Thanks be to God for your faithfulness and generosity.
