and Memorial Garden Mission Statement In May of 2001, a long-time dream of the First Presbyterian Church of Aiken (FPCA) came to fruition with the completion of its Columbarium and Memorial Garden in the east courtyard of the church property. Throughout history, the Christian church has provided cemeteries on church grounds for the burial of its members and families. As space becomes increasingly limited, FPCA's Columbarium is to be a place which carries on this tradition by providing a consecrated place for the inurnment or the scattering of cremated remains of loved ones whose closeness to FPCA continues even after death. It is our hope that families whose loved ones become inurned or scattered here, as well as our members in general, will find our Columbarium and Memorial Garden a serene place for remembrances and spiritual reflection. Application Applications may be made at any time in advance of need.
